Made for you. Not around you.

An independent software organization. Everything we build is open source, we run our own products, and client work is built the same way.

See the work

We are an independent software organization

We design and build websites, web applications, visual identities and Linux software for people and businesses, and run our own products on the same code.

Most software today is rented by the month, runs on someone else's servers and stops when its vendor decides. We build the other kind: everything we make is yours to keep, and we are paid by our clients and by donations, never by investors waiting for an exit, by advertising or by data.

Everything is open source

Every line Trebired writes is published under MIT or the AGPL, in public repositories from the day they exist. There are 27 of them today.

There is no closed edition, no source-available tier and no paid tier that unlocks code kept back. Code that is published is already on other people's disks, and no change of heart, sale or shutdown can take it back. For client work it is the condition: your content, data and credentials stay private, and the code that runs them is public.

The keyhole is the mark of the Open Source Initiative, which maintains the Open Source Definition and approves the licences that meet it. Everything here is published under MIT or the AGPL, both approved by it.

What we make

  • Websites

  • Web applications

  • Visual identities

  • Linux software

Websites, web applications, visual identities and Linux software, each designed and built for what you do, not filled into a template someone else sold a thousand times.

A site loads fast on a phone, a screen reader can read it and it tracks no one. Every job has one written price for the whole thing, agreed before anything is built, and the repository is public from the first commit.

We track no one

No analytics, no advertising pixels, no fingerprinting, no session recording and no third-party scripts, on this site or on the sites we build for clients.

Freedom means moving, speaking and reading without being recorded for it. Nothing here follows you anywhere else; a page stores only what it needs to work, and it stays in your browser. We hold what you send us and what a server must process to answer, nothing gathered on the side, and nothing is sold, rented or shared.

Built for everyone

WCAG 2.2 at level AA is the bar for every site and program we build. Pages are made of real headings, lists, buttons and links, so a screen reader reads the same structure a sighted visitor sees; everything that can be clicked works from a keyboard; text scales, nothing is said by colour alone, and nothing plays, moves or opens by itself. A failure against the bar is a defect like any other, and it is fixed like one.

Half an
hour is
enough

That is how long the first conversation usually takes: what it has to do, who uses it and what it talks to. Text and pictures can come later. By the end of it you know whether it is a job for us, and if it is, you get one written price for the whole job before anything is built. If we are not the right people for it, we say so.
